How much water you choose is therefore very important, and you should get this right first.
At mimimum water, you will get a big land mass with a few inlets around the edges. At 75% water, true continents will be apparent, and at maximum water you will get an archipelago of small continents. Leaving the water slider at 50% will not give you proper continents, but something like this At about 66%, you will get some separation into what I would call a 'continent and islands'.
Island maps are islands maximising water will give you around 20 little islands minimising it will give you dozens of islands separated by small straits and seas.Ĭontinents maps are more complicated. Land maps are basically what they say on the packet: even selecting water at maximum will only supply a laky map with around 25% water.
